CorbyTXT to be Launched in a Couple of Days

It is believed that Samsung is launching the CorbyTXT in couple of days. The handset features a full QWERTY keypad much like Samsung Omnia Pro B7320, launched a while back.

For convenience to this segment of users, the company has also included pre-loaded functions that include SMS and IM (Instant Messenger) as well as social media uploading functionality. Like the Corby this variation will also come with interchangeable rear panels.

Other features include:

  • a 2.2-inch TFT LCD with a 176 x 144 pixel resolution
  • EDGE/GPRS
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, USB 2.0
  • 2MP camera
  • microSD card support
  • 3.5mm handsfree socket

Samsung Rogue U960 Images Leaked

Samsung Rogue U960

The images and details of the Samsung Rogue U960 are known. This handset was first glimpsed earlier this month.

The U960 is said to run on Samsung’s TouchWiz 2.0 operating system. The full specifications of this phone are still under wraps. However, it is said to incorporate a 3 megapixel camera with a flash. The images also display a microSD card slot on the side.

The phone is little bit on thicker side because of the slide out QWERTY keypad. The U960 also features a standard 3.5mm headphone jack on the side.It is also believed that it incorporates support for GPS navigation and EV-DO connectivity. The images also display a buttons for music control and camera on the side. The side of the phone also houses the microSD card slot.

The Samsung Rogue U960 is expected to release on August 15. The pricing details and other specifications of this handset are expected to be revealed in a soon.

Nokia launches Smartphone "Surge"

Nokia have finally announced the Nokia Surge full-QWERTY equipped side-slider. Sporting an extraordinary design the new handset runs on the S60 and packs advanced messaging features and a distinct youthful appeal. But its still not available in India, its been ties up with AT&T.

Nokia Surge packs a 2.4″ 16M-color display of QVGA resolution. Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band UMTS with HSDPA 3.6Mbps support provide the network data transfers, while Bluetooth, USB and a 2.5 mm audio jack cover the local connectivity.

It’s worth noting that the Nokia Surge sports the huge 1500 mAh battery that managed to impress us on Nokia E71. The list of interesting features of the device is completed by 128 MB of internal memory, expandable by up to 8GB through the microSD card slot, as well as FM radio, A-GPS and a 2 megapixel camera.

Still the exact price for Indian market is unknown as it comes with a two-years service agreement and price tag of about Rs. 3,915 ($79.99)
